Dr. Alice Coyle
Barnes-Kasson Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Alice Coyle has joined the staff of the hospital as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Orthopaedic Surgery is the medical and surgical specialty that involves the treatment of injuries and diseases of the back, arms, and legs. Dr. Coyle attended the University of Scranton graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1981 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Premedical Biology. She continued her education at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, graduating in 1985 as a member of the medical honor society. She completed her surgical internship at New York University-Bellevue Medical Center in 1986, her Orthopaedic Residency at NYU-Bellevue in 1990, and chose to further her education in 2004 by completing a Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Dr. Coyle has been a certified member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1992 and was an examiner for the Board for 10 years.
