Open Admissions Statement
Barnes-Kasson County Hospital, Family Health Clinic, Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Health Agency and all other related programs are operated in accordance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (43 P.S. 951 et seq.) and regulations of the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
This facility prohibits discrimination against persons because of their age, sex, race, color, religious creed, age, qualified handicap, or sexual orientation.
It is the facility’s policy to provide care and treat all patients without regard to race, color, ancestry or national origin, religious creed, age, qualified handicap, or sexual orientation.
The same requirements for admission and/or treatment are applied to all, and patients are assigned within the hospital regardless of any discriminatory factor.
There is no distinction in eligibility for, or in the manner of providing any patient service provided by or through the hospital. All facilities of the hospital are available without distinction.
All persons and organizations that have occasion to refer patients for admissions or recommend the Barnes-Kasson County Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility and related departments are advised to do so without regard to the patient’s race, color, ancestry or national origin, religious creed, age, qualified handicap, or sexual orientation.
